Nezumi no Yomeiri(Mouse’s Marriage)
- Introduction -
Squeak, squeak, squeak. Little boy mouse, you are of marrying age.
Squeak, squeak, squeak. Little girl mouse, you are of marrying age.
The matchmaker was in high spirits trying to bring the two families together.
The apprentice, being mindful, offered, “How about some tea?”
- Development -
Many, many gifts were sent from the boy mouse’s house.
Little girl mouse’s father read the list of gifts, and received them.
Little girl mouse’s mother called a kimono shop, and inquired about cloths.
Make a yukata kimono with a fine pattern, and hurry up with the tailoring.
- Turn -
Squeak, squeak, squeak. Boy mouse, you are now a son-in-law.
Squeak, squeak, squeak. Girl mouse, you are now a bride.
From beginning to end, it was a well-prepared marriage ceremony.
Toasts were made, and a wedding ceremony was held.
- Conclusion -
Squeak, squeak, squeak. Baby mouse gave a cry.
Squeak, squeak, squeak. Baby mouse, how cute.
Gold and silver are being saved for the child’s future.
The mouse family lived prosperously.
