From Himeji Castle to Hyogo Prefectural Museum of History

The following is an introduction of the walking route from Himeji Castle to the Hyogo Prefectural Museum of History. On this route, you will enjoy a landscape that is a bit different from the inside of the Castle. The route starts from Sannomaru Square. After passing along the old Ishigaki stone walls of Shimoyamasato, which is associated with Kuroda Kanbei, look up towards the Ishigaki wall underneath Obi-no-yagura (belt turret), which marks the highest part of the wall within the castle. If you move north along the inner moat, you will arrive at the museum. Lastly, enjoy the view that spreads out below you.
