It was already evening when Lucy woke up. She had slept for hours since then. She was sitting alone in the classroom.
--"I have to go home at once. I wish someone had woken me up." she thought.
The town was still on her way home. The silence made her uneasy and she ran back home.
--"Hi! I'm home!"
There was nobody at home.
--"Everyone is out..." she thought.
Nobody came home after the hours passed by. Her breath was taken away.
--"Perhaps..."
She jumped out of the house and ran next door. But nobody was there, either. She called her friend, but nobody was in.
--"I thought it was too still on my way home. I'm the only one left in this town... no, in this world!"
She couldn't understand the situation at all. And she couldn't think of what to do.
--"I should go somewhere and look for someone."
She ran to the supermarket where she often went. When she arrived at the main street, she could see the bright lights of the supermarket. She became happy.
--"There is someone!"
...But there was nobody there either. She became sad. She took a rice ball and a bottle of tea. She put money on the cash desk and then she left the supermarket. She tramped solemnly on her way home. It always took less than five minutes to her home, but it felt very long then. And she had no appetite.
She couldn't sleep that night.
She was very tired the next day, but she decided to go for a walk to see if anything had changed. The town was also still that day and she could only hear the songs of birds. Insects busily carried their food away to their homes in the park.
--"Until now, I couldn't afford the time to watch birds and insects... It is good that people aren't around."
She sat down on a bench in the park and spent quiet hours.
--"Nature is really amazing."
Then she went home. She fell sound asleep that night.
She went to the park every day. She watched the action of bees and lying on the grass, looked up at the sky...
One day, a beautiful bird perch on Lucy's shoulder. She became friends with the bird soon and called her Kee. After that, they went for a walk.
--"I have been here for a week... I was at a loss first, but I don't have to go to school, my parents don't get angry and I can do what I want to do. And I have a friend called Kee! It is really fun!"
Lucy said so, and Kee happily sang.

A few months had passed since Lucy came to this strange world.
--"What should I do in the future? Will I grow up as I am? I hate it!" she suddenly thought.
Indeed, she wanted to cry about her life.
--"I think the former world was much better than the present world..."
She casually said, and Kee sadly began to sing.
--"NO! Kee is an exception!" Lucy confusedly answered.
She felt uneasy that night. But she was tired, so she slept soon.
