On the previous page I said we do not need the school rules, but personally I prefer them. Japanese schools have many "laws" to restrain the students. In this essay I want to put forward my opinions about these school laws.
My first opinion concerns hair color. From my view point I watch Japanese teachers constantly complaining about the students hair color. Teachers automatically think the students who have natural hair color behave better and would be glad to see every student in school having natural hair color. I know it is unavoidable, teachers do not have much connection to the students and so do not understand personally there is no connection between a "good" student and hair color.
My second opinion concern the way teachers warn students. I think teachers scorn students who look natural now but who have had dyed hair in the past. I have not seen the same teachers warn the students who really need warning. I don`t want to see the teachers constantly warning us students who abide by rules, but occassionally lapse.
I understand that teachers are not gods or Buddas. I know that we are some times bad students, but the image conjured by the word "teacher" makes me think of excellent humans. Students are not always excellent. So please forgive us students, and don`t be so concerned about the way we look. I wish that teachers would start to look at students not by the way they lookbut how they are.
This essay is fiction and has no relation to any teachers or my actual school or board of education.
