29　seem to do の用法

　seem to は後に原形動詞が入り、「〜のようです」という意味になる。

(1) He seems to know everything about it.
彼はそれについて全て知っているようです。
(2) There seems to be a mistake.
間違いがあるようです。
(3) He seems to be sick.
彼は病気のようです。

It seems that 〜の意味も「〜のようです」であるので上の3つの文は次のように書きかえられる。that の後には(1)~(3)の文の最初の単語が入る点に注意すること。

(1’) It seems that he knows everything about it.
(2’) It seems that there is a mistake.
(3’) It seems that he is sick.
