１. be動詞の疑問文（Yes,
No,で答える疑問文）の作り方
am,
are, isを主語の前に置き、？をつけます。
This is a
picture of the earth.
これは地球の写真です。
→Is this a picture of the earth?
これは地球の写真ですか？
They are happy.
彼らは幸せです。
→Are they happy?
彼らは幸せですか?
2． 一般動詞の疑問文（Yes, No,で答える疑問文）の作り方
do,
doesを主語の前に置き、動詞は原形（三単現のSなどをつけない）を使います。
They come to school by bus. 彼らはバスで学校へ来ます。
→Do they come to school by bus? 彼らはバスで学校へ来ますか？
Their school begins in April. 彼らの学校は４月に始まります。
→Does their school begin (×begins) in April? 彼らの学校は４月に始まりますか？
3． 疑問詞のある疑問文の作り方
文の始めに疑問詞( where, what, who, when,
why, how ) を置きます。
Where do you live?
どこにお住まいですか？
I live in
What club
are you in?
何クラブに入っていますか？
I’m in the tennis club. テニスクラブに入っています。
Who is he?
彼は誰ですか？
He is my uncle.
私のおじです。
When does your school begin? あなたの学校はいつ始まりますか？
It begins in September. ９月に始まります。
Why do
you study?
なぜ勉強するの？
Because I
want to know many things. 多くのことを知りたいから。
How do the students come to school? 生徒たちはどのようにして学校に来るのですか？
They come by bike.
自転車で来ます。
４. 現在進行形「（今）～しているところです」の作り方
be動詞 + 動詞～ing を使います。
A: What are you doing?
何をしているの？
B: I am studying now.
今、勉強しているところだよ。
A: Where
are the children? 子供たちはどこ？
B: They are playing in the park. 公園で遊んでいるよ。
A: But it
is raining.
でも雨が降っているわ。
動詞の ～ing形 の作り方
（１） 動詞にそのまま ～ing をつける。
read→reading cook→cooking study→studying
（２） e で終わる動詞は、その e
を除いて ～ing をつける。
make→making write→writing come→coming
（３） 「短母音 + １子音」で終わる動詞は、その終わりの子音字を重ねて ～ing をつける。
cut→cutting sit→sitting run→running
