| Hyogo Prefectural Seiryo Upper Secondary School started its long history as the Fourth Kobe Secondary School in 1941, the 16th year of the Showa. |

| In 1948, the school was combined with the First Commercial Secondary School, and named Seiryo Upper Secondary School, associated with the hills in the neighborhood. |
