History

Hyogo Prefectural Seiryo Upper Secondary School started its long history as the Fourth Kobe Secondary School in 1941, the 16th year of the Showa.
In 1946, the school was burnt down in a fire.
In 1948, the school was combined with the First Commercial Secondary School, and named Seiryo Upper Secondary School, associated with the hills in the neighborhood.
In1949, the first graduation ceremony was held.
In 1991, the school celebrated its 50th anniversary with a commemorative ceremony.
In 1995, the school buildings and the school grounds suffered in the Great Hanshin Awaji Earthquake.
The facility has been expanded  gradually, and in 1999  educational computers were introduced.
In 2001, the school celebrated its 60th anniversary with a commemorative ceremony.
