Momotaro emaki(Tale of Peach Boy Momotaro)
Momotaro emaki (Tale of Peach Boy Momotaro)

A picture scroll on the theme of the old tale of “Momotaro,” this scroll is made up of only drawings, and no foreword. Depiction using India ink is heavily used, and since there are no instructions on the coloring locations written, it is thought that this scroll was produced as a picture model, rather than for viewing. In this picture scroll, Momotaro is born from a married couple who ate a peach and became younger, rather than being born from a peach.
