To take care of mental illness, we first listen to the stories of the suffering people. They need a listener. And the earlier the mental care begins, the sooner the patients will become better.
To prepare for disasters in the future, we also have to train more experts and set up an emergency system.
-Student's impressions-
Although we often say "mental care" is necessary, I think it is actually difficult and meaningful to do real mental care. Through this seminar, I was able to understand that the Hanshin-Awaji earthquake badly damaged not only "visible things (buildings)" but also "invisible things (minds)".
