Maiko HS Boiled Rice Annual Event for 1,000 people
In the Hanshin-Awaji earthquake, the distribution of boiled rice was carried out by volunteers at every shelter. We need to reflect upon the experiences in the disaster. As one of the memorial events, we cooked the Maiko hot pot dish for distribution to 1,000 people.
Thanks to the cooperation of students, parents, teachers and volunteers in the community, we managed to cook the hot pot with 10 big pots in 1 and a half hours. On the grounds of Maiko HS, many people gathered, and we shared the hot dish in the cold weather. While and after we ate, we were able to communicate with friends and even with strangers naturally. After cleaning up the event, joyful impressions were heard from those who participated. We were able to share the experiences and lessons learned in the Hanshin-Awaji earthquake.
