Outline of School


Hyogo Prefectural Agricultural High School was founded in 1897.It has fostered many agricultural experts and played an important role in the Agriculture of Hyogo Prefecture and  Japan.
Originally it was built in Akashi city, which is the city of Japan Standard Time Meridian situated exactly on 135‹east longitude, but it was moved to Kakogawa city which is next to Akashi in 1922.
Now it is one of the largest Agricultural High Schools in Japan with over 950 students and eight courses.
Our mottoes aregrich aesthetic sentimentshand gcontinuous diligent studiesh.
Through these mottoes we foster the excellent people who will establish sincere learning attitudes and moderate life styles, develop their individuality, promote fruitful self-realization, and contribute to social development.

School History


April 1,1897 Hyogo Prefectural Simple Agricultural School was founded in Akashi city, Hyogo Prefecture.
April 30,1901 The name was changed to Hyogo Prefectural Agricultural School.

April 1,1922

The school was moved to Kakogawa city.
April 1,1948

The name was changed to Hyogo Prefectural Agricultural High School.

November 20,1997 Celebrated on the 100th Anniversary of the schoolfs foundation.

Educational Goals


1. To develop independency, autonomy and practical abilities with helping students complete a rich emotional character.
2. To help students acquire the attitudes to study independently.
3. To bring along characteristic talent who has the basic knowledge and learning skill to deal with the rapidly changing situation of international society and Information Technology.
4. To help students acquire the indispensable scientific ability of managing agriculture for future young farmers and people engaging in agriculture in the future who can react to the new age  with a wide range of knowledge and skill.
5. To develop the practical ability and attitude to create an environment in which humans and nature interact harmoniously.
6. To develop the welfare and voluntary spirit to create a symbiotic society.
